David Paul Mesler and Barbara Hume will perform “A Concert of Prayers” at Grace Episcopal Church on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Mesler is a renowned pianist from Seattle with a vast repertoire of jazz, classical and spiritual hybrids. Hume is a vocalist who performs with the Bainbridge Chorale. Together, they have produced five albums of American poetry set to original songs by Mesler, called “I Hear American Singing.”

For this special benefit concert, Mesler composed songs based on traditional prayers.

All proceeds benefit the Grace Outreach Program, with a special focus on Syrian refugees who have recently relocated to Seattle.
