It’s been a mild winter so far, and likewise, the atmosphere at Sunday’s concert at Island Music Center is expected to be warm and breezy. “January Winds” is a mostly wind instrument concert featuring a sampling of local talent, including renowned flautist Janet See.

The concert, which is a fundraiser for IMC, will include a number of duets and ensembles.

“Take Two,” pairs Susan Anderson and Candy Kanter, followed by Amy Duerr-Day with Anderson.

Impromptu Trio will take the stage featuring BSO regulars Amy Duerr-Day, oboe; Patty Beasley, clarinet; and Sarah Felstiner,  flute.

Anderson returns for duet No. 3 to play “Duet No. 3” with IMC faculty and “Soul Siren” saxophonist Dave Carson.

Sara Sylvia will then accompany Zach Badzick  and Carson.

Janet See will take the stage for five pieces, including two by Schubert, with Mary Grant on piano.

See has performed as a soloist, and as part of orchestras and chamber ensembles for 30 years in the U.S., Canada and Europe. She has earned a reputation for her prowess in baroque and classical flute.

Following intermission, the Frog Rock Flutes will play, followed by the IMC Jazz Ensemble featuring Ariel Levari, Sam Bishoff and Carson.
