BPAA presents planetarium show ‘Cosmic Dust Bunnies’

The Battle Point Astronomical Association presents the planetarium show “Cosmic Dust Bunnies” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8 at the Edwin E. Ritchie Observatory.

Inspired by cleaning up his daughter’s dorm room, astronomer Steve Ruhl will talk about cosmic dust, how it is made, and how it forms new stars and planets.

The show is free to BPAA members; $2 donation suggested for nonmembers, $5 for families. BPAstro Kids will be discovering all about stars with “Solar DNA” with Dr. Erica at 4 and 5 p.m.

If the sky is clear, astronomers will be on hand with telescopes for public star gazing afterward.

The BPAA is a nonprofit amateur astronomy organization that operates in the Ritchie Observatory and John H. Rudolph Planetarium at Battle Point Park.
