Local author Jonathan Evison will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Savvy Women Exchanging Relevant Views.
SWERV will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, May 14 at Filipino American Hall, 7566 High School Road.
Evison will speak on “The Elusive and Ever-changing Process of Writing Novels.”
All women are invited to hear the award-winning writer explain how the process of writing his novels has never been the same twice.
He is the author of “All About Lucy,” “The Fundamentals of Caregiving” and his latest, “Lawn Boy.” Evison will discuss both successful and failing approaches, and share a few tried and sure principles that have never failed him.
He’ll also discuss various facets to his job as a writer; research, outlining, work flow, composing, editing and publishing. SWERV noted that attendees should come prepared to ask questions.
