‘Amplify 17’ fundraiser to support Space Craft

Bainbridge Island-based performing arts nonprofit Space Craft will present its second annual fundraising event, Amplify 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Grace Episcopal Church.

“Our first Amplify event last year was held in a cool industrial space, and sold out immediately,” Space Craft cofounder and creative director Morgan Terry said. “Some of our great patrons and supporters were left out, so we moved to Grace this year to double our capacity.”

The theme for this year’s event is “Believe,” and will feature a cocktail hour, dinner, dessert auction, two live performances by Space Craft alumni artists Zoolab and Fine Prince, as well as a silent auction conducted via mobile devices.

Attire is “rock and roll casual.”

“The silent auction worked out well last year,” Terry said. “It was cool to have people bidding in real time from their seats on their phones without the traditional paddle thing.”

Tickets, $100 each, are available until Friday, Oct. 6, or until they sell out, via www.spacecraftpresents.org.
