To the editor:

The Tollefson family has been family friends since they moved to Bainbridge Island more than 30 years ago. Our children went to school together and have remained longtime friends.

Val is a calm and thoughtful individual who will bring his ability to negotiate and compromise to the council. He listens.

Over the years Val has faithfully served as a volunteer on several Bainbridge Island nonprofit boards, becoming the president of the Bainbridge Island Land Trust and the Bainbridge Library. He has earned our vote.
