Time to love our enemies | Letters, Dec. 27

Mrs. Levy truly had a friend in Sally Robison’s grandmother (“Holiday memories of Mrs. Levy,” Dec. 20). Her strong faith in God’s healing message no doubt motivated her to share God’s love and the joyful message of renewal and hope we celebrate at Christmas time.

One quote that Sally’s grandmother was so eager to share with Mrs. Levy of the encouragement and healing by the founder of her church, Mary Baker Eddy, was no doubt this one: “Remember, thou canst be brought into no condition, be it ever so severe, where Love has not been before thee and where its tender lesson is not awaiting thee.”

Would we not all be blessed to have a friend like Sally’s grandmother.
