Something is really wrong here on Bainbridge | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

The Bainbridge city council just finalized outlawing medical marijuana collective gardens on Bainbridge. There is now not enough people to grow for the sick of our island.

The Bainbridge city council just finalized outlawing medical marijuana collective gardens on Bainbridge. There is now not enough people to grow for the sick of our island.

I asked why they would want to outlaw a legal medical system that has been in place for decades with absolutely no problems? I asked, why would you want to take medicine away from a cancer patient?

They said they didn’t want to look like they supported marijuana.

It is one thing not to support something and quite another to torture people, taking their medicine away from them.

They didn’t care. I then mentioned that it has been shown that where there is medical marijuana, the death rate from car accidents in the 18-to-34-year-old group drops by an average of 9 percent. Marijuana is not as debilitating as alcohol. They didn’t care.

If someone if willing to torture sick people and kill young people what are they protecting us from? Why do we even vote in this state? The city council makes the rules even our medical decisions. The city council always knows better then our doctors.

Is it just me or is there something really wrong here?
