Let’s start over on Proposition 1 | LETTER TO THE EDITOR

To the editor: As the Long Dark starts to descend again, our neighborhood resident coyote’s howl gets worse. So does tendentious news about a new police station location and high costs we vote on Nov. 3.

As the Long Dark starts to descend again, our neighborhood resident coyote’s howl gets worse. So does tendentious news about a new police station location and high costs we vote on Nov. 3.

Only a half block from a new traffic circle serving all south island traffic? C’mon. I’ve seen those antics in a few ‘30s silent films about The Keystone Cops.

Located next door to our one surviving trailer park and replacing our only public laundromat? “Come off it” as redevelopment, as former Mayor Janet West used to say about similar proposals. That city council unanimously endorses it without a howl, let alone a real peep of public debate? They talked more forthrightly and endlessly about a new park public bathroom!

It’s time to vote “No” on Proposition No. 1. And give our court users and cops a break from any elected officials’ delicts along with a break about parking and access. Let’s start again and do it right!
