Learn how to make face masks at home | Letter to the editor

To the editor:

The debate continues whether the citizenry should be wearing face masks when leaving home. If you are interested in making some, The New York Times on March 5 published an excellent article reviewing current research by scientists on which materials are most effective.

Important to read before you start a project. High grade quilters’ cotton (high thread count) was as good as surgical masks, if made properly.
