To the editor:

Helpline House wishes to thank all who contributed to Project Backpack 2014. The Bainbridge community supported 155 students in need this year with generous donations of cash, backpacks, binders, paper and other school supplies. The program will also continue to provide assistance with education-related expenses throughout the school year.

A special thank you to the volunteers who helped with the project, and to our partners in the business community. These included Paper Products, Bainbridge Rotary Club, Cruise-In/Modern Collision, Wildernest & Gear Stash, Bainbridge Windermere, Ace Hardware and Island Fitness.

Helpline House continues to provide essential help because of island neighbors helping neighbors. Thank you.
