To the editor:

I write to publicly thank the city of Bainbridge Island for this summer’s repair work on Fort Ward Hill Road.

Traffic delays were minimal, the construction flaggers were friendly and informative, and the work was completed early. The road looks great and an added guardrail makes it safer for drivers. Also, there was a minimal disturbance of vegetation and old trees.

Thank you COBI and contractors. This was an improvement well worth waiting for.
