To the editor:

I would like to offer my unqualified support for Arlene Buetow for city council.

I have known Arlene for 15 years as both a customer and personal friend.  Professionally I find her most qualified on any subject she engages.  She places a high value on fairness and equal treatment to all of those  she serves. Her work on the Utility Advisory Committee has shown her commitment to work on behalf of the citizens, as demonstrated by her efforts on behalf of the utility ratepayers and their interests.

Very important to me as a longtime Realtor is that Arlene always seems to have researched the numbers and is able to lay out a subject in a clear and compelling manner. I value her intelligence, fairness and determined work ethic. She is the type of person I believe will look out for the interests of all Bainbridge Island citizens while on the council.

Please join me in voting for Arlene on Nov. 5.
