We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful community for helping with our recent move. The staff and volunteers at Bargain Boutique know that we could not have done this without all of you who gave so generously of your time and efforts to help us.
The angels from Rotary and Kiwanis clubs loaded and unloaded mountains of boxes and store fixtures. Hill Movers donated movers and trucks. We would also like to thank Bainbridge Arts and Crafts, Bainbridge Island Plumbing, Hayden Painting Inc., the Brumley Family, Paul Sanders (photographer), and our long-time sponsors That’s A Some Pizza and Bainbridge Rental for all their generous donations.
Our own heroic volunteers gave tirelessly to help wherever they could, some spending dozens of hours to plan and execute the move. Whenever we were totally overwhelmed, individuals dropped in to help us pack, unpack, and organize in our new space. Lunches, beverages, and baked goods were lovingly brought in to sustain all the workers.
Through all the chaos, we came up with a very conservative estimate of 1,009 volunteer hours donated to Seattle Children’s Hospital in the month of September by the dedicated members of our community.
If you haven’t visited us yet, please make it a point to drop by our new location at 253 Winslow Way West.
We want to share our new “Wall of Courage” with you, and let you see some of the faces of local children who have relied on Seattle Children’s Hospital for care. It is a tangible reminder of why we go to work every day, and why you should be proud to donate and shop where you can make a difference in a child’s life.
