To the editor:

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Bainbridge, the Bainbridge Island Downtown Association, Bainbridge Youth Services, and the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce, we want to thank the people of Bainbridge Island for their outstanding support of the Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale, the July 3rd Street Dance, the Fourth of July Fun Run, and the Grand Old Fourth of July celebration.

These past several weeks have been filled with the greatest example of community volunteerism that anyone could want. Our four organizations have benefited from the volunteer support of almost 2,000 citizens, or should we say 2,000 volunteer offerings because some of you gave of your time at more than one event.

It is with great pleasure that we take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all those who support us as volunteers, as well as those who come out to support the events.

We couldn’t have done it without you.
