The Island Film Group will meet for a movie at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at the Bainbridge Public Library. The group meets on the second Wednesday of the month for free films and discussion.

This month’s film is “The Player.”

The 1992 movie was directed by Robert Altman and stars Tim Robbins, Greta Scacchi, Fred Ward, Whoopi Goldberg, Peter Gallagher and Brion Altman takes a scalpel to Hollywood ethics in the 1990s (or the lack thereof) in his acidic satire, adapted from Michael Tolkin’s novel.
