“Seriously Funny: Humor, Film, and Philosophy” comes to the Bainbridge Public Library at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16.
In the second of Library U’s four-part series on American Pop Culture, philosophy instructor Mike VanQuickenborne shares clips from “Being John Malkovich,” “I Heart Huckabees,” “Intolerable Cruelty” and “Adaptation” to explore the philosophical issues raised by these films and the tremendous power that films have to shape the thoughts of audience members.
The free program is co-sponsored by Humanities Washington.
