BSO presents ‘Movie Music Live’

The orchestra, along with special guest violinist Brittany Boulding, will perform a selection of music from film, TV, the stage and even video games, including the swashbuckling “Pirates of the Caribbean” and the fantastical “How to Train Your Dragon.”

Big sounds from the big — and the little — screen will be performed this weekend by the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra at Movie Music Live!

The orchestra, along with special guest violinist Brittany Boulding, will present a selection of music from film, TV, the stage and even video games, including the swashbuckling “Pirates of the Caribbean” and the fantastical “How to Train Your Dragon,” as well as John Williams’ haunting “Three Pieces from Schindler’s List” and also music from “Halo,” “Bounty Hunter” and the classic score of “South Pacific.”

Boulding has performed recitals across the United States and internationally, having appeared most recently as a soloist with the Northwest Sinfonietta, Auburn Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Seattle Festival Orchestra, Thalia Symphony Orchestra, Cascade Symphony Orchestra, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra and the Orquesta de Camara Concierto Sur in Cuba.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17.
