The Bainbridge Island Photo Club presents “Realistic Abstractions: Crossing the Line and Engaging Viewers” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at the Waterfront Park Community Center.

The program will be presented by artist and photographer Diane Walker, a Bainbridge Island resident and professional photographer for the past 15 years. In 2012, Walker discovered the joys of acrylic painting and abstract expressionism.

In both endeavors she enjoys exploring the boundaries between abstract and representational art. She’ll be sharing a bit of her history and some of her work as we consider those boundaries together, examining where that line falls and how an artist’s awareness of that can impact their viewers.

Everyone is welcome to this free event.
