Islanders earn degrees at WGU

Four students from Bainbridge Island have earned a degree from Western Governors University, the university has announced.

Suzanne Fisher was awarded a bachelor of arts in interdisciplinary studies (K-8) degree.

Jill Beermann earned a master of arts in teaching, elementary education (K-8) degree.

Amy Decker earned a master of science, nursing-education (RN to MSN) degree.

Elizabeth Morris was awarded a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

Established in 1997 by 19 U.S. governors with a mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable higher education, online, the nonprofit WGU now serves more than 121,000 students nationwide and has more than 178,000 graduates in all 50 states.
