State attorney general announces investigations into price gouging during COVID-19 outbreak

Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson said Wednesday his office has launched investigations of price gouging following the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Washington state.

Ferguson did not elaborate on the subjects of the investigations.

“My office is investigating price gouging in the wake of the COVID-19 public health emergency. We do not identify the targets of our investigations, but we are taking formal investigative actions,” he said.

“If you see price gouging, file a complaint with my office,” Ferguson added.
