Bainbridge severe weather shelter opens Friday night

Bainbridge Island’s severe weather shelter will open Friday night at the Bainbridge Island Senior Center, 370 Brien Ave. SE.
Officials said check-in will be from 6 to 9 p.m.
The shelter is being opened due to the National Weather Service’s forecast of overnight below-freezing temperatures.
