Spartans slice, dice Garfield in girls lacrosse

Bainbridge blasted the Bulldogs 19-2 in girls varsity lacrosse Friday at Magnuson Park in Seattle.
The Spartans were led by Amy Willerford and Sallie Marx.
Willerford split the Garfield posts with four goals, while Marx added three goals and two assists.
Fellow Spartan Sonia Olson also had a hat trick, and assisted on another BHS goal, as well.
Garfield never threatened in the contest, and the loss dropped the Bulldogs to 3-4-1.
Nine Bainbridge players scored in the contest.
Paige Brigham, Lauren Martin and Kyra Wortley put in two goals apiece for the Spartans.
Teammates Maureen Greason, Kiera Havill and Riley McCormick-Dekker added one goal each.
Frances Andersen Bicknell and Hannah Trettenero scored for Garfield.
McKenzie Scott had nine saves in goal for Bainbridge.
The victory improved Bainbridge to 6-1-1.
The Spartans next face Bellevue East (5-3-1) in a 6:30 p.m. start at Interlake High School in Bellevue on Monday, April 28.
