Bainbridge blotter | A lot of chaos in her life

Selected reports from the Bainbridge Island Police Department blotter.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 12

1:59 p.m. A 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan rolled into a parked vehicle, a 2001 Honda, on Winslow Way, just west of Ericksen Avenue in front of Town & Country Market. There was nobody inside the car, which was blocking a lane of Winslow Way, though there was a dog, which was retrieved by Kitsap Animal Rescue.

The rear passenger side of the Volkswagen was damaged and it was towed from the scene.

A phone listing was found for the owner, a 67-year-old Bainbridge woman, who was called. A message was left.

The Honda was damaged, and the owner was given a case number and report.

During the towing process, as the driver of the Honda moved her car forward, the Volkswagen rolled into a second car, though there was no apparent damage done to that vehicle.

Police went to the home of the Volkswagen owner and spoke to her. She said she had a lot of chaos going on in her life and that she might have forgotten to put the car in park. She was told where her car had been towed, and where her dog was. She did not have her insurance information on hand, but said she would call police with it later.

At the time the report was filed, she still had not called.
