Tea time at The Island School

Bainbridge High School Japanese teacher Lani Kawasaki prepared green tea and sweets for the children at The Island School during a Japanese Tea Ceremony on March 26.

The children created and glazed their own tea cups in art class. Tea was served by Sydney Navarro, a student of Kawasaki’s in her AP Japanese class at BHS. This is the closing week of the school’s month-long cultural study of Japan.
