SEATTLE – The final away games of the Bainbridge High varsity baseball season with a so-so selection of Spartan showings.
First, on April 24, the Bainbridge squad bested Nathan Hale in a whopping 10-0 shutout.
Then, on April 25, the Spartans were themselves shutout by O’Dea’s Fighting Irish 9-0.
The island squad again lost, 5-4, to Bishop Blanchet on April 26, but finished the regular season with another epic shutout win: 10-0 against Rainier Beach, also on April 26.
BHS finished entered the postseason with an overall record of 11-9 (9-6 in league play), ranked fifth in the Metro standings.
The first slated outing of the postseason was Monday, April 30, in Seattle, against Nathan Hale.
