Spartans shoot lights out in Lakeside matchup

SEATTLE – Bainbridge lambasted Lakeside 20-7 late last week in girls varsity lacrosse.

Eight Spartans scored in the contest, with Mackenzie Chapman again leading the way, this time with eight goals.

Kendall Havill contributed five for the Bainbridge win, while Madeleine Sherry added two more.

Eleanor Collins, Eva Genkinger, Eleanor King, Abby Reibsamen and Maggie Sweeney added one goal each.

Gisella Gonzalez, Bainbridge’s backup goalie, was a defensive dynamo once again for BHS, recording her second win on the season.

Chapman and Sweeney controlled the midfield with 67 percent of the draw controls.
