No doubt in BHS fastpitch win

SEQUIM – The Spartans brought some sizzle to Sequim in their season opener in girls fastpitch softball as Bainbridge beat the Wolves, 11-2.
Malia Peato and Maddie Loverich were sensational for the Spartans, each with a home run and a combined six RBIs, in addition to their pitching/catching duties.
BHS put three runs on the board in the first inning, and two more followed in the next for a 5-0 advantage.
It climbed to 6-1 after four innings, and Bainbridge plated another five runs to make it 11-1.
Sequim scored in the bottom of the sixth to seal the scoring at 11-2.
Peato was the winning pitcher for Bainbridge, with five innings in the circle (1 Run, 0 Earned Runs, 0 Hits, 12 Ks, 0 BBs). Sara Colley came in for the sixth.
The Spartans’ first outing featured plenty of offense.
Morgan Lassoff was 3-for-6, with an RBI and two runs.
Loverich went 3-for-5, with a double, triple, home run and three RBIs. She also scored two runs.
Ruby Raymundo was 3-for-5 for the Spartans, with a double, RBI and a run.
Olivia Ditmore was a perfect 3-for-3, with a double, two RBIs, and a run.
And at the plate, Peato finished on 3-for-4 batting, with a double, home run, three RBIs and four runs.
