Spartans JV sports wrap | Girls soccer team unloads on Chief Sealth, ties with Garfield

The Bainbridge JV girls soccer team blanked Chief Sealth 7-0 on Sept. 4.

Rylee Dutton and Kamryn Coryell scored two goals each for the Spartans. Cristin McCann, Eliana Cowan and Katherine Pecora also booted goals for Bainbridge.

Dutton also finished with an assist.

The JV team battled to a 1-1 tie against Garfield on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Coryell, a freshman forward, scored the goal for Bainbridge late in the second half to knot the score.

This week, the JV team faces Peninsula High in Gig Harbor on Monday, Sept. 10 (game time is 5 p.m.). The team plays Central Kitsap at home Tuesday, Sept. 11 (game time is 5:15 p.m.).

The JV Spartans will also play Holy Names Academy on Thursday, Sept. 14 in Seattle (game time 3:30 p.m.).

Junior Nick Miner scored a fourth-quarter touchdown to power the Spartan JV football team past Central Kitsap at Silverdale Stadium on Sept. 3.

Bainbridge won, 8-0. Sophomore Tino Peleti scored the 2-point conversion following the touchdown.

The JV gridders are scheduled to host Kingston at Bainbridge High Stadium at 6 p.m. Monday.

The Bainbridge JV volleyball team is secluded to play Central Kitsap in Silverdale on Monday, Sept. 10 (game time 5 p.m.).

The team next plays at home on Friday, Sept. 14 against Cleveland. Play starts at 4:45 and will wrap up before varsity action at 6 p.m.

The JV volleyball team will close out the week at a junior varsity tournament at Mariner High School in Everett on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The Bainbridge junior varsity golf team will also see action next week. The Spartans will play Eastside Catholic at Twin Rivers Golf Course in Carnation on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
