A special one-night-only art show to raise awareness and funds for survivors of sexual exploitation will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Grace Episcopal Fellowship Church.
Tickets, $20 each, can be purchased now at www.scarletroad.org/heart.
The show, “The HeArt of Survival,” will feature work by 25 artists, and is a unique collaboration between Art Slam Studio and Scarlet Road, showcasing works of art inspired by the journey of survivors leaving exploitation. Reportedly the first of its kind for Kitsap County, this exhibit will offer insight into the artists’ expression of pain, healing and hope.
Sales from the show will support local artists and 50 percent of all sales will be donated to Scarlet Road.
Scarlet Road is dedicated to empowering victims of sexual exploitation and at risk populations by achieving positive change through relational investment and holistic care, serving as a central resource for prevention and support.
Grace Church is at 8595 NE Day Road. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/ScarletRoadKitsap.
