The Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network will be hosting Shin Yu Pai in July for “The Written Image: Blending Poetry with the Visual Arts.”

Pai will grace BARN’s Great Room for a talk about the intersection of poetry and visual arts.

Pai is the author of several books including AUX ARCS, Adamantine, Sightings and Equivalence. She is also the recipient of grants from 4Culture and Seattle’s Office of Arts & Culture. Pai was also a 2014 Stranger Genius Award nominee.

During her talk, Pai will showcase her work as a writer as well as her commissions for art and cultural museums and her collaborative work with other artists as well.

Pai’s presentation will run from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 29. Those who wish to attend the free event should register at bainbridgebarn.wildapricot.org/event-2486507.
