Bainbridge parks officials talk about kiddie train

Bainbridge park officials will meet this week to get an update on the feasibility study and site plan for the proposed miniature steam train attraction for children.
The project calls for the installation of a quarter-mile-long track at Sakai Park.
Park commissioners will also discus a revised lease for the Seattle Yacht Club for a boating facility on Hidden Cove.
Also on the agenda: approval of an application for integrated pest management for Hidden Cove Ballfield, and the acceptance of the deed for John Nelson Linear Park.
The board of the Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Park & Recreation District will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 18 at Strawberry Hill Center, 7666 NE High School Road.
