Bainbridge busted by Cleveland 50-26 in girls basketball

BAINBRIDGE – The Spartans were defeated 50-26 in girls varsity basketball on their home turf Friday by the visitors from Cleveland.
It was the island squad’s fifth loss of the season, leaving them with an overall record of 2-5 (1-4 in conference) and tied for the fifth spot in the Metro standings with Ingraham and Holy Names.
Bishop Blanchet boasts the top spot with an unblemished 5-0 conference record.
The Spartans next traveled to play Kingston High on Thursday, Dec. 22. Results were unavailable when the Review went to press.
They will not play at home again until 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, a bout with Sequim rescheduled from Jan. 7.
