BAINBRIDGE – In their sixth loss of the year Friday, the Bainbridge High boys varsity basketball team was unable to mount a response to the score-happy Cleveland Eagles.

The visitors handed the Spartans their latest loss 74-47, dropping the island squad’s overall record of 0-6 and leaving them in the bottom spot in the Metro standings.

It’s been a somber season start for the Spartans to say the least, with three of the six losses happening at home.

They hit the road to play Kingston Thursday, Dec. 22. Results were unavailable when the Review went to press.

The Spartans are slated to head off to British Columbia for a special holiday tourney from Wednesday, Dec. 28 through Friday, Dec. 30.

The BHS boys will next play at home again on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
