Five Spartans seek shot at state

SEATTLE – Aaron Jumpa, Hague Bush, Clay Wren, Oleg Maguire and Rachel Longridge will each compete at the regional tournament on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Chief Sealth High School for a chance to represent Bainbridge High at the 2016 Mat Classic XXVIII State Wrestling Tournament in Tacoma next weekend.

Jumpa and Bush, the team’s co-captains, are both No. 1 seeds in their weight divisions and considered likely to make the cut.

The two-day state meet takes place at the Tacoma Dome Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20.
