SEATTLE – Bainbridge exploded in the first inning to easily put away Seattle Prep 17-4 in girls fastpitch softball Wednesday at Viewridge Playfield in Seattle.
The win gave the Spartans their 10th win this season in the Metro League, and improved BHS’s record to 10-3 overall.
The Spartans scored nine times in the first inning while holding the Panthers scoreless.
By the start of the third, Bainbridge led 10-1.
Natalie Allen paced the Spartans with 4-of-5 batting. She finished with a double and five RBIs.
Teammate Alison Reichert went 2-for-2, with four walks, three RBIs and three runs.
Riley Gregoire was 3-for-6 with a triple, an RBI and three runs.
Also coming up big for Bainbridge was Tiana Rabang (2-4, three RBIs) and Deahna King (2-5, two RBIs).
King also picked up her fourth win on the mound to improve to 4-3 on the season. She pitched seven innings and finished with six strikeouts.
