Author Jacquelyn Mitchard is the next guest at the Field’s End Speaker Series at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the Bainbridge Public Library.

When Mitchard’s first novel, “The Deep End of the Ocean,” was published almost 20 years ago, it captured the hearts of booklovers everywhere, including Oprah Winfrey, who made it her very first book club selection, and Michele Pfeiffer, who starred in the movie adaptation.

Now, Mitchard is poised to enthrall readers once again with “Two If By Sea” (Simon & Schuster), an epic story of courage and devotion that spans three continents and the entire map of the human heart.
