Sophomore second baseman Hailey Willmann was named to the Seattle Times’ all-area team. The team recognizes the best players in each position from the Metro or WesCo leagues.

Wilmann, who is also the Spartans’ No. 3 pitcher, is batting .467 with 21 RBIs.

“She leads by example and she’s vocal when she needs to be,” coach Liz McCloskey said.
