The Spartans outlasted Seattle Prep 6-5 last week in boys and girls Metro League varsity tennis.

Bainbridge powered to the win by sweeping the boys singles matches, backed by a victory in No. 1 girls doubles and a crucial turnaround in boys No. 1 doubles.

In boys No. 1 singles, Matt Alderson outshot Luke Targett 6-0, 6-1.

Jacob Christensen followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win for Bainbridge in boys No. 2 singles against Seattle Prep’s Daniel Galindo-Navarro.

The Spartans’ Mark Schoener-Scott dispatched Nick Phillips 6-0, 6-0 in boys No. 3 singles.

In girls No. 1 doubles, Meghan Hill and Margaux Henderson worked their way to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over the Panthers’ Maddy Scheer and Emily Savidge.

In boys No. 1 doubles, Keet Curtis and Ben DeVries persevered to a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 win over Sam Blattner and Ryan Doerfler of Seattle Prep.
