Bainbridge schools see increase in student enrollment

Enrollment in Bainbridge Island public schools continues to rise after years of stagnant growth.
Officials with the Bainbridge Island School District, in its official October enrollment count, report that the district currently has 3,675.4 full-time equivalent students enrolled in district schools.
The number is 20.4 FTE students higher than budgeted.
Bainbridge High welcomed 310 new freshmen, 349 sophomores, 306 juniors, and 303 seniors for a total of 1,268 students this year at BHS. Enrollment at BHS is about five students above last year’s enrollment.
