Joan Lynn Elizabeth Judge passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at her home on Bainbridge Island. She was 54.

She was born at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine on Feb. 15, 1960.

Joan had also lived in San Jose, California, San Francisco and Yuba City.

She graduated from San Francisco State University. She worked as an accountant/director of finance at Avalara.

She is survived by her husband, Rainer Weitz of Bainbridge Island; and children Dylan Judge Hoff of Seattle and Hannah and Emma Judge of Bainbridge Island. She also leaves behind her parents; Donald and Carolyn Judge of Roseburg, Oregon and brother Curtis Judge.

Joan was a talented quilter and knitter, and had recently turned her artistic skills to jewelry making. She had also been learning to play the cello for the past few years.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 25 at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church on Bainbridge Island.
