BHS earns big win in girls golf closer

The Spartan girls varsity golf team went out with a bang at the final match of their regular season on the road against Nathan Hale.

SEATTLE – The Spartan girls varsity golf team went out with a bang at the final match of their regular season schedule Friday, Oct. 16 on the road against Nathan Hale.

They brought home a 70-32 win and nudged themselves into contention for the first-place spot in the league.

Freshman Lucy Hanacek led the day for BHS with 22 points. Sara Colley and Katie Hughes each earned 18 and Anna Lee Nelson chipped in 12.

The win brought the team’s season record to 10-1, making them tied for the top spot in the league with Roosevelt and Holy Names Academy.
