Girls basketball
Bainbridge lost to Franklin 53-37 Tuesday.
Rebecca Sharar led with eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
Kasondra Totura had seven points and Micki Johns and Hannah Depew both added six.
Bainbridge (3-7 in the Metro, 5-19 overall) maintains the top spot in the Metro-Sound division. Rainier Beach is second in the division with a 2-9 record.
The Spartans will take on Sound opponent West Seattle (1-9 in the Metro, 3-12 overall) at 8 p.m. Friday at BHS.
Gymnastics
The Spartans scored a season-high 161.52 to defeat West Seattle and Chief Sealth Friday.
Junior Adrienne Palay placed first all-around 33.40 points and first on the bars and on the beam.
Senior Katie Mathews finished first in the floor routine wiht a 9.05, and placed second all-around with 32.775.
Bainbridge will honor its seniors in its last home meet of the season when they host North Kitsap and Kingston at 6 p.m. Friday.

The Spartans’ meet against Ingraham was cancelled Jan. 22.
Bainbridge will host Lakeside at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Wrestling
Bainbridge won its third straight dual meet with a 36-30 victory over Eastside Catholic Tuesday.
The Spartans (6-3) have their last regular-season meet at Ingraham Thursday before the Metro tournament begins Feb. 5.
