The Spartans won their third match in a row with a 10-1 Metro League win over Valley Division Ingraham Monday.
Jacob Christensen kept his undefeated league record intact at 6-0 for Bainbridge Island with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Brandon Wong.
Also undefeated for the Spartans is Jack Pendleton, Michael Bock and Ryan Bieber.
Meghan Hill ran her league record to 5-1 as she teamed in doubles with Margaux Henderson and defeated Katie Kelly and Amy Truong 6-0, 6-2.
The week of April 16-20 is a big week for the Spartans. Beginning Monday, BHS hosts Mountain Division rivals O’Dea/Holy Names, Wednesday is at Seattle Prep and Friday hosts Lakeside. Bainbridge must defeat Lakeside to have a shot at the Metro Championship.
Next up for the Spartans is a home non-league coed match against Kennedy Catholic at noon Saturday, April 14.
The Spartans’ record now stands at 6–2 (4–2 Metro League).
In girls singles, Kate Jameson of Bainbridge beat Becca Allison 6-4, 6-1.
Fellow Spartan Jordan Ferguson overpowered Adi Peterson 6-1, 6-1.
Teammate Sadie Dedon bested Teal Stannard 7-5, 6-1.
In boys singles, Matt Alderson defeated Ingraham’s Martin Horst 6-3, 6-0.
Mark Scott of BHS beat Julien Delapena 6-0, 6-1.
In boys doubles, Bainbridge’s Pendleton and Cooper Hayes defeated Kenny Hua and Andy Tran 6-3, 6-4.
Fellow Spartans Ryan Bieber and Michael Bock beat Joey Tangency and Tran 6-3, 6-0.
In other girls doubles play, Sally Mohamath and Mei Powell of Ingraham won against Emma Stallworthy and Lia Hardy 6-3, 7-6.
In mixed doubles, Merce Chamness and Mike Chaffee of Bainbridge defeated Allison Kojima and Jacob Martin 6-0, 6-3.
