FRIDAY, AUG. 7

8:15 p.m. A 20-year-old Bainbridge woman in a 2010 Honda Insight was driving on Blakely Avenue near Oddfellows Road when she fell asleep and went of the roadway.

She had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

TUESDAY, AUG. 4

3:21 p.m. Two enforcement officers and an 18-year-old investigative aide from the Washington State Liquor Control Board visited the Plate and Pint on High School Road.

The officers entered the pub separately, and shortly afterward, the 18-year-old woman approached the bartender and asked for a bottle of Budweiser.

The 18-year-old told authorities she had been served, and officers questioned the bartender, a 24-year-old man with an Oklahoma ID. The bartender said he looked at the woman’s ID, but said he thought she had turned 21. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

FRIDAY, JULY 31

12:03 a.m. Callers reported a man screaming in a wooded area just north of Mitchell Lane.

An officer discovered a doe with broken legs that was being eaten alive by coyotes. The deer was dispatched and left in the woods.

FRIDAY, JULY 24

3:54 p.m. A 53-year-old Indianola woman in a 2011 Hyundai Tucson was driving south on Highway 305 near Day Road when she swerved off the road to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of her that had stopped for traffic and ran into the blackberry bushes on the side of the highway. The vehicle had minor damage but the driver was not hurt.

THURSDAY, JULY 16

11:05 a.m. A 20-year-old Bainbridge man in a 1998 Honda was driving south on Highway 305 approaching Day Road when he hit a 2012 Ford pickup  driven by a 48-year-old Bremerton man that was stopped for a red light.

The Bainbridge driver said he wasn’t paying enough attention to stop in time. He was cited for inattentive driving.
