The boys team placed 12th at the Oct. 29 district meet. Senior Willie Wenzlau finished 62nd with a time of 18 minutes, 13 seconds. Freshmen Brendan Willerford and Tomas Delgado finished 65th and 66th, respectively.

Soccer

Coming in as the third seed in the Metro tournament, the Spartans won three matches in a row to earn a spot in the league championship. But the Spartans came up short against Holy Names Thursday night, losing 1-0.

Bainbridge will play its first state tournament game on the road Nov. 10 against the second seed from district 3/4.

The Spartans defeated Lakeside 2-1 in the Metro League playoff semifinals Tuesday night.

Bainbridge took a 2-0 lead over Lakeside with goals from Lauren Silvers and Amy Vukic. Lakeside scored its only goal in the 78th minute.

The Spartans advanced to the Metro League tournament semifinals with a 4-0 victory over Nathan Hale Oct. 31.

Oct. 29, the Spartans steamrolled Chief Sealth 9-0 in a Metro tournament play-in.

Morgan Moniz and Christina Crowley both recorded hat tricks, while Hallie Swan added two goals and Anastasia Tschida scored on a penalty kick.

Volleyball

Bainbridge finished its season with a 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 loss to Holy Names in the first round of the district tournament Thursday night.

The Spartans defeated Cleveland 25-12, 25-20, 25-8, clinching the seventh seed in the district Tuesday.

The Spartans lost to Eastside Catholic in the first round of the Metro playoffs 14-25, 25-15, 25-16, 13-25, 6-15 Oct 29.
