North Kitsap wins with two-run seventh inning

The Vikings escaped with a 6-5 win against Bainbridge in boys junior varsity baseball at North Kitsap High.

The seventh-inning deliverance was the second comeback in the game for the Vikings.

Down 2-0, North Kitsap rallied in the second inning to even the score and then doubled up the Spartans, 4-2, in the third.

Bainbridge answered with a two-run fourth inning, and took a 5-4 lead in the sixth.

The Vikings scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to steal the win.

Chase Lehotsky, Brice Kozlosky and Carter Kraus led the Spartans with two hits each on 2-of-3 batting.

Lehotsky, Garret Riely and Jack O’Neil all smacked doubles for Bainbridge. Kraus also finished with two RBIs.

Gareth Grindeland started on the mound for Bainbridge and Lehotsky came in after two innings. They each surrendered five hits.
