Jessica M. Fuchs, the Bainbridge High teacher accused of having sex with an underage teenage Bainbridge High student, was booked into Kitsap County Jail just after midnight Friday, May 8.
She is scheduled to appear in Kitsap County Superior Court at 9 a.m. Monday, May 11.
Fuchs was arrested Thursday after Bainbridge police wrapped up an investigation that lasted nearly 11 weeks into allegations that Fuchs had a sexual relationship with a underage student at Bainbridge High, where Fuchs was a first-year biology and chemistry teacher.
Bainbridge police said Fuchs has been charged with two felonies — first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor, and tampering with a witness — and the gross misdemeanor of communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
Fuchs remains in custody in Kitsap County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000 on the charge of sexual misconduct with a minor.
