New members named to BI government committees, some reappointed

The Bainbridge Island City Council reviewed new appointments and reappointments across five committees at its June 10 meeting.

A total of 11 new appointments were approved, six of which were reappointments and five newly appointed members.

Once appointed by the council, committee members will serve three-year terms ending in June of 2028, per city documents. Each appointment is made based on a recommendation made by a member selection panel.

Council votes to confirm recommended appointments, which requires a majority plus one vote of the council membership, i.e, five “yes” votes, per city documents.
