Bainbridge High sophomore Blake Bentzen is slated to compete in the Interscholastic Sailing Association High School Singlehanded Championship at Sail Newport Saturday, Nov. 2 in Newport, R.I., in the Lasers & Radials category.
Bentzen qualified for the national-level event after he won the Interscholastic Sailing Districts Regatta in September. He took first place in the high school singlehanded sailing championship in the Laser Radial class.
